As weird as it is, I'm going to do this in the third person, as if someone were going to borrow it for (ha!) promotional purposes.  Like, for their website, or if they were going to introduce me for a reading.  Hey.  Put it out there in the universe, right?
britt continues to be a stay-at-home mom for one school-aged child and twin pre-schoolers. This takes up a good portion of her time-- as it should.  Don't let her fool you though, her house is not clean.

With more ideas than are good ones, she continues to vacillate wildly between creative ventures.  She writes poetry, is working on the beats of a play, and has been composting on a book idea for over a year now.  Additionally, she designs websites, logos, and creates Vacation Bible School curriculum.   And, as if that weren't enough, she is preoccupied with gardening, sewing, photography and has started running.  (But she hates running and only does it so she sleeps better at night.  She'd rather be playing volleyball to stay in shape.)

Her poetry and prose have appeared in various publications:  Kakalak Poetry Anthology (2007 & 2008), Main Street Rag, literarymama.com, Now & Then, WNC Woman, Solander and The Pedestal Magazine among othersFor samples of her poems click here.

The Carolina Mountains Literary Festival keeps her busy with planning, web & newsletter content, promotion, and ad design.  She also hosts Eve's Night Out, a monthly open-mic poetry reading at Main Street Books in Burnsville.

She is not fond of lists, but does like to be concise.
