Currently, I am reaching for a new phase in my life.  While I continue to be a stay-at-home mom, I now have one child in school and the twins will be starting pre-school in the fall.

With the free time I have, I dabble in graphic and web design and have gathered a few clients.  I also continue writing both prose and poetry and have placed pieces in various publication:  Kakalak Poetry Anthology (2007 & 2008), Main Street Rag, Now & Then, WNC Woman, and The Pedestal Magazine among others.

The Carolina Mountains Literary Festival keeps me busy with planning, web & newsletter content, promotion, and ad design.  I also continue to be inspired by the participants of Eve's Night Out, a monthly open-mic poetry reading I co-host at Blue Moon Books in Spruce Pine.  Now in its 3rd year, our critique group (the Lost County Writers) continues its weekly schedule and helps improve my writing.

Alluding to my former bio which lamented the number of diapers I
used to change, I am please to report that all members of my family
are potty trained and the diaper days are over.
