h o m e New website design. New commitment
to blogging more regularly. New dedication to my own
writing. (Though I can't for the life of me pick one avenue and
am simultaneously submitting a chapbook of poetry for publication,
writing new poems, submitting to journals, drafting a play, and
outlining a book.) New resolve to honor my other creative
outlets: photography, sewing, gardening, mothering and graphic design.
New. New. New. Did you know that a caterpillar in its chrysalis sheds its skin, loses it's form -- turns to gush -- and from its "imaginal discs" forms wings? Really. The technical term is "imaginal disc." The process takes so much energy, a chrysalis weighs half of what it originally did when the caterpillar formed it. No one said it was easy. |
